Information about LLM program
Master of Laws (LLM)
Detailed course of LLM studies at ESBM
The LLM studies are suitable for applicants with a legal background, but also for executives, owners of companies or representatives of middle and senior management who want to learn about the legal and economic background of corporations.
European School of Business & Management SE uses a combination of online study and interactive teaching (workshops). The study is based on the Oxford model of teaching, which has its roots in the British university system and encourages students’ independent thinking, information seeking and logical reasoning superseding theoretical knowledge.
The advantage of studying at the ESBM is time flexibility – the possibility of starting your studies immediately and adapting them to your own time possibilities. Thanks to the e-learning system, every student has the opportunity to study from anywhere and choose the specific dates that suit them.
The LLM Studies last 1 year and are conducted in Czech. The entire studies consist of 2 educational blocks, which are further divided into 10 study modules. First BLOCK – specialized – is the same for all students and contains 8 modules. Within the Second Block – elective – students choose 2 modules from a wide offer of elective modules.
Face-to-face classes are always held on weekends and consist of 4 full-day seminars. Lessons take place in modern premises in the center of Prague.
The teaching is conducted by professional lecturers, who are selected experts on specific topics. Lecturers are fully available to all students throughout their studies and students can consult on any topics and issues outside the classroom.
E-learning system facilitates the actual course of study and the availability of information. Within the system, students have access to study materials, teaching materials, lecture schedules and all necessary information.
The output for each block is seminar theses or case studies. The student will produce 5 theses for the first block and 1 thesis or case study for the second block, or another form defined within the syllabus of the specific module. The study concludes with the preparation of a thesis and its defense.
A successful graduate obtains the LLM title, which is written after his/her name. This gives LLM graduates an edge over others.

References of our students
I decided on LL.M. studies immediately after successfully completing my MBA due to the need for greater personal orientation in legal issues in the exercise of my profession. A sign of my satisfaction with my studies is my third follow-up study in the DBA program at ESBM.
I did a careful analysis and out of all the schools that offer postgraduate studies, ESBM clearly stood out to me. Their training system, the approach and professionalism of the lecturers, the modules and workshops themselves are very inspiring, motivating and of a high standard..
